GANT aftershaveI am just loving these puns for titles at the moment! True though you can’t forget him this Valentines day and I have a little something up my sleeve for the most fussiest man you may know. Older, younger fussy or not I always think aftershave is a win win… Well for Jonny it is!

GANT Fragrance* has no other name than that its simply and classic this 50ml bottle is also very reasonable at £35 you can get the bigger 100ml also for £50 again very very reasonable. I love the heavy blue bottle its masculine and sleek and the embossed glass is a lovely touch. GANT is essentially know for its beautiful classic clothing so you may not go straight to thinking about going there to get something scent wise for him, this scent though is very timeless its strong but let it rest on the skin for 10 minutes and don’t over apply and it has a very ageless scent which I love its something I think would be great for occasions or on holiday as a real fragrance for him to keep in his collection for that dinner out or that wedding your off too.

The man behind GANT fragrance is the Swedish perfumer Pierre Wulff and he was apparently inspired by the ocean and the clippers that sailed form New England to Asia. This possibly explains the dark blue, water-like hue of the bottle plus the woven pattern, like a mainsail. It has hints of lemon, coriander and lavender, but this is balanced with masculine tones like tar and wood. It is also a strong as I said but not overpowering scent; apply it in the morning and it will last all day as I said though do’t go over the top, you do need it with this as its a lasting smell that wears well. I think this a great alternative to the Jo Malone wood sage & sea salt scent so be sure to get the man you love a little something too because well I think they deserve it… Sometimes!

What are you getting the other half this Valentines?
