Laduree Paris macaroons

If you follow me on Instagram @lemonaidlies you will of seen that me my mum and my sister headed to London for afternoon tea at ‘One Aldwych’ it was a little treat from my sister to my mum as her mothers day present and part of my 21st birthday present. We of course popped into somewhere beforehand ironically for a snack, I know but we got hungry and ‘Bills’ was calling so we had some tempura squid, halloumi and some sweet potato fries before heading over for tea.

But being so close to Covent Garden we had to stop at our favourite place ‘Laduree’ if you don’t know abut them they are a luxury French bakery and sweet maker and were established in 1862 and have 4 stores here in London. They do an amazing assortment of delicious cakes but with macaroons being my all time favourite sweet treat I will always go for a box full of them. don’t get me wrong they are the best I have ever tasted but they come with a bit of a price tag to say the least so thank you to my mum for getting me and my sister a box each as a treat. This box of 6 were close to £15 but you can choose the box and quantity etc. You pick what flavour you want too and if I’m correct mine are.

Left to right – Lemon Verbena, Rose Petal, Strawberry Marshmallow, Peach, Pistachio and Salted Caramel.

Salted caramel is by far at the top of my love list but really I love them all and being the nice person I am I half them so Jonny can share with me. I know they are pricey but they are a touch of luxury scrumptiousness in a box I love the green with the silver design and think you could easily reuse the box after, which I think I may do although I am not sure what as yet. The other option is I get another box and get the one with cats on, I think that’s a great plan too.
