While out in London with my mum and sister we took a little detour into ‘Penhaligons’ which is one of my favourite shops not just because of the stuff you can buy but the customer service is second to none and this time was no different. Mum and I spent so much in the Bicester Village outlet store over Christmas on presents for others and one of the things we bought was a perfume and I gave it as a gift, do I regret it yes which is bad as I now wish I had kept it all for myself mwhahaha. I’m only kidding but I do wish I could remember the name of it so when in store I went and smelled everything on offer but so many were so good I couldn’t tell if it was the one i wanted or if I just loved that one too.
Me and the shop assistant who I believe was called Richard sorry if that’s not your name, but he sent me a lovely personal email to say thank you for visiting the store as I signed up to e-mail updates while there narrowed down what we thought it could be by my description to 3 let me now that they were part of their scent library.
This is a little tin with 10x15ml samplers in so at £16 it gives me the option to see what it was that I loved but also maybe find some new scents I like too.
On the website these are the scents and their descriptions :
Quercus: Fresh, as warm as English oak; strong stable and modern.
Sartorial: This skillful reinterpretation of a classic fougere is the perfect illusion of a Savile Row workroom.
Blenheim Bouquet: A bracing mix of citrus oils, spices and woods. Immaculately turned out with a flash of heritage.
Opus 1870: A complex and elegant woody chypre. Wonderfully warm and comforting.
Endymion: A study in contrasts; spicy and fresh, strong deep.
Artemisia: Subtle and warm; nectarine, jasmine, tea and lily over precious woods and amber.
Lily of the Valley: Fresh, green, delicate, the perfume of innocence and love.
Malabah: Exotic, cool and confident, for the born traveller; spices, lush flowers, precious woods, zingy top notes.
Ellenisia: An extravagant floral with armfuls of heady white blooms wrapped in sweet plum and vanilla.
Bluebell: The pure and unadulterated scent of a bluebell wood; floral, sweet and wonderfully earthy.
Perfect for the handbag just to pop one in for on the go use. I love this shop and all its history too and that they provide toiletries for the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales this sets it in stone on how lovely a brand they are and how a beautiful British brand is still going strong. Like I mentioned the service is incredible wrapped in printed tissue paper sprayed with one of their scents and placed with some free samples into their very elegant purple bag with gold writing really is the epitome of luxury for me. if you have a man in your life too they do great shaving stiff and also cologne for him to and it really would be a well received gift!
