When it comes to Jo Malone everything about it draws me in, not just the products but the boxes that come elegantly wrapped with black tissue paper and black ribbon. The chances are if I am gravitating towards a Jo Malone store I will be coming out with a cream and black bag with my bank balance taking a hit but feeling over the moon with my scrumptious smelling buys.
Today for you I have a perfume and its one I got as a birthday gift off my sister with some more Jo bits (another post on that soon). I have owned bath oils and candles galore from he brand but never a perfume my mum has been wearing a Jo Loves scent called Pomello … Jo Loves is another Jo Malone brand that hit the market not all to long ago. I love that scent too and received it before its official release in the first BBBbox but this one ‘Peony & Blush Suede’ is worn by my sister and when we went away back In may I wore it as I fancied a change from my normal either Chanel Chance or Valentina by Valentino. And I fell in love! Its quite a strong scent so you don’t need to slosh this on being a cologne it is stronger the an eau de toilette and a little goes a long way I spray once on my wrist and rub and once on my neck you could mistake the scent for a pure perfume easily.
On the website it is described as – ‘The essence of charm. Peonies in voluptuous bloom, exquisitely fragile. Flirtatious with the juicy bite of apple and the opulence of jasmine, rose and gillyflower. Mingling with the sensuality of soft, blush suede. Luxurious and seductive.’
Sounds enticing and worldly and I think I have to agree, as a wedding perfume/evening or special occasion its a winner. For everyday use, I would have to disagree It is a bit too heavy for me and it could easily be overpowering if you went a bit happy with the spray bottle its not a body spray so don’t go mad. This is a great investment and when I say that I mean for this 30ml bottle it retails at £40 the larger 100ml at £82 so spend wisely I don’t think this will be a scent for everyone but for me its a keeper In the perfume stash.
