When this tube landed on my door step I had no idea what ‘Color Wow One-Minute Transformation *’ really was. This is a styling cream and well I have come across a fair few of them who claim to make frizzy hair more manageable and tamed. I know people look at my hair and think think oh its so long and straight, it is long but straight oh no, this mane of mine is a nightmare it takes me about 2 hours to blow-dry and straighten it so there is no quick morning hair wash for me its a mission that has to be scheduled into my day.
Gail Federici who is the co founder of John Freida’s hair care company had a vision and created this wow technology specifically for frizzy hair and targeting mainly blondes as its our hair that colour/dye damages the most.
This is a problem for me too, I have a little damaged caused by heat, the years of sun and the occasional highlights. It means sadly its gone a little wirey in texture naturally and this claims to transform dry and damaged looking hair into smooth and shinny hair instantly. Because my hair is naturally wavy/curly even when straightened by the end of the day or after wind, rain, heat almost anything its starting to kink underneath and the crown has began to look like a birds nest. So this has really been coming in handy as its not a styling cream you have to use on wet hallelujah! This can be used on your hair by putting a small amount on your hands rubbing together and smoothing it over your frizzy patches and brushing it through so its great for the mid day restyle. It gets the best results when heated for several seconds with the hair dryer so if your heading for dinner after work and have limited time to re do your hair this will be you new go to.
It has a light texture that doesn’t feel like your hair is caked in product and the smell its fresh and has a dry shampoo fresh smell that leaves your hair not just looking better but smelling fresh too. A little does go a long way with this so use a little and add more if needed as too much can leave your hair feeling a little greasy. For someone who has thick hair and a lot of it my hair craves moisture all the time and this gives it that boost when its looking a bit dull it adds all the natural oils back into your hair making it look salon styled.
Ive added this video below where Kevin Cross the creative director of Colour Wow shows you how easily you can get great hair with minimal effort:
Its said that 75% of blonde women who dye all of their hair, touch up their roots or get highlights agree that Color Wow is a life changer and I am on of them.
Is this something you would try? How do you manage your frizz?
