Love is in the air… candles everywhere! I do love a good candle as you may be able to tell from my regular posts featuring them, so when a lovely little email landed in my inbox saying that the guys from Flamingo Candles wanted to send me a little surprise I was rather happy to say the least.
I came home from work last week and sat there, wrapped in tissue paper and string with a little hand written note wishing me a happy valentines was this little beauty. This is the Love Bug Glitter Valentines Candle* and oh swoon its blooming adorable.
I have had the pleasure of Flamingo Candles at work and at home as they are really affordable and being jar candles last for ages, this has up to 50 hours of burning time which for £12 is very good. First lets back track so I can give you a low down on Flamingo as some may not have heard of them (living under a rock) 🙂 … this range is a bit different to most all are hand poured and organic and made right here in the UK made with soybeans and natural cotton wick meaning they are very environmentally friendly which is always a good thing with any product.
This is their Valentines candle so yes you still have time to either ask your other half for one or just get one for yourself because you deserve it! All of their candles are quirky and original and this one does not differ. Coming in their signature jar with the vinyl Flamingo on the front and screw on lid is this bubble gum pink and vibrant purple glitter mixture, which is fun and girly unlink the normal rose type candles and the sea of red wax that follows when you think of valentines day.
Love Bug is a blend of Mandarin and Petitgrain with subtle undertones of cinnamon. This makes it fresh but warming and comforting. The mix of the spice layered on top of the citrus keeps it fresh as we begin to hit spring yet the comforting warming scent of the cinnamon means it not your usual spring floral scent. I love the fact its glittery and can be used after the whole valentines shenanigans. And the scent makes me think of being a child in Woolworths eyeing up and getting my tiny mitts on all the pick and mix. that whole array of smells all in one place is such a welcoming thing in my books.
So go on, this sweet treat is exactly what every girl needs so drop some hints ladies!
Have you tried the Love Bug Candle or any others from the Flamingo Range?
