After wanting an Olivia Burton Watch for a good 2 years I had given up hope of getting one. It was either this or a Daniel Wellington one on my wish list as I wanted a leather strap watch as a contrast to my now 4 year old and very battered Michael Kors rose gold baby. Then on Christmas day just past Jonny passed me a rather large box and it was of course to disguise the smaller box inside.
I opened it up and the box was in a beautiful cardboard sleeve and here it was clear I now own a lovely, feminine and delicate Olivia Burton something.
He knew I wanted leather strap but I was in two minds as to whether I wanted another rose gold face or just gold. I wear gold jewellery so silver wouldn’t be something I would really get much use out of.
This is the Olivia Burton Big Dial Tan & Gold style and I keep this at the moment for more special occasions as I don’t want it to see the wear and tear my current watch is going through being hit on my desk or clanging against the metal of my bag. I love the big dial face and think the bigger the better for me when it comes to this part of the watch I love the statement they make and I tend to avoid small dainty watches, whereas this is the perfect balance.
I have tiny wrists and the pleasure of a leather strap is a nice change. Not having to have links taken out, although I do find putting it on a little more fiddly that with a clasp. I think they are so well made too as the quality is clear and at £80, for this you can’t go wrong.
What do you think of Olivia Burton watches? What watch are you after?
