Hey, its skincare Sunday…. Thats not a thing on my blog but this week and next at least will be focusing on some great skincare products I have been loving at the moment. I was very kindly sent some Balance Me goodies to try out as a little pick me up for my skin. I received three products each from a different range of theirs all from a product family aiming to combat a specific need ie. extra care. From the daily essentials range I was sent the Cleanse & Smooth Face Balm*, from the treatments range was their Stellar Beauty Balm* & from the extra care range I was sent my new holy grail Radiance Face Oil* I had never tried any of their skin care before so was really excited to give a few items a try as all I’ve had the pleasure of using from Balance Me is their body washes and their Rose Otto one was a great first impression.
So I think I should start with my new favourite face product, the Radiance Face Oil (£30) is made to help dull dehydrated skin glow and even areas of the skin that are prone to redness. Now I love a face oil a year or so ago I would have done my best to avoid them as I never though putting oil on my combination skin would help but I had tried and like both the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse and Trilogy Rosehip Oil I mean the duchess of Cambridge uses Trilogy and it was good but this product right here has changed my life. I have been using it for two weeks and my skin is on cloud nine it isn’t my favourite smelling item no but it has the best effects. It sinks into the skin instantly and doesn’t leave any residue lurking, it also instantly leaves the skin brighter and smooth. This even has rosehip oil in so I think along with all the other goodness thats packed into it it works wonders. Its glass bottle and pipet make it a little fiddly and a little less travel friendly but when it works this well I can look over that. It is not the cheapest product but a little goes a long way especially if like me you use an oil before bed.
Next up is the daily essential Cleanse & Smooth Hot Cloth Face Balm (£20) I know the whole Liz Earl hot cloth cleanser fandom is still happening but I never really jumped on that bandwagon. I don’t know why but cleansers like this never really appeal to me but I couldn’t pin point why. So this for me isn’t 100% love nor is it a hate I cant get to grips with using it, if it is possible to get it wrong I probably am. Its aimed at normal to oily skin and I have more sensitive/dry so I don’t think I have got see its full effect that it aims to provide which is a deeply cleansing daily essential to enhance your natural radiance. In terms of the products scent and feel it was nice and fresh and creamy with a little oat powder to gently exfoliate, nothing harsh but for me this one just wouldn’t be something I would use. I do think this would be fantastic for slightly more mature skin as it does have a great balance in its ingredients to help anti ageing.
Hello little pot of goodness which is the Stellar Beauty Balm (£18) a multi-tasking pot of super smoothing goodness and I agree. This balm is not just for the face its for any where on your body that is prone to dry patches lips, cuticles, elbows, heels you name it it will work on it. It hydrates, protects and perfects any patch that needs a little more TLC the website says you can use it “as a 100% natural barrier cream, hydrating overnight mask, lip balm, cheek highlighter, eyebrow styling wax, cuticle cream, to sooth dry skin around the nose, cheeks, elbows, heels, to calm itchy insect bites, to prevent cold sores, plus soothe burns and grazes.” It also smells divine and really fresh and when such a small amount goes a long way its worth the money. Its also really easy to travel with, perfect for holiday in the sun or the snow.
Overall I am as you can tell really impressed with what I have tried even though the hot cloth cleanser may not be for me the oil especially will be a staple in my skincare for the long run.
Have you tried anything from Balance Me? What do you love from the brand?
