Me and my mane have a love hate relationship, everyone swoons at its length and yeah I have grown it for years and I love it but when you have naturally frizzy, coarse thick hair you cant just get up wash your hair and head out the the door. My hair routine takes planning, do i need to be up early, does it need straightening? It is a chore so when I was offered the chance to try some products from the Richard Ward Anti-Ageing Argan Range* I thought why not, I mean my hair needs all the help it can get. The whole range that in full contains 5 products is made to help preserve hair and stop it become age-proof, it has rejuvenating argan oil and olea left that helps restore lustre, shine and condition.
Richard Ward Anti-Ageing Argan Shampoo* £3.99 – The intention of this whole range is to volumise and while I don’t seek out added volume the other benefits are key to my hair care wants. Repairing, preserving, shine and to strengthen. This shampoo is part of that its your first step in my routine and i tend to focus mainly on the scalp. The first thing I liked about the shampoo is the scent its slightly masculine and has a mens cologne type scent not manly man so as you wouldn’t want to use it just ‘spicy’ (god my description is bad). What really caught my attention was its instant effect normally shampoos leave my hair feeling a bit parched after I rinse and then the conditioner, in a sense brings it back to life, this however was not the case. My hair instantly felt soft and as if it was doing two jobs in one and a little goes a long way as its a rich thick texture that lathers up really well.
Richard Ward Anti-Ageing Argan Conditioner* £3.99 – Unlike my shampoo step I tend to avoid rubbing too much conditioner near my scalp and like to focus on the ends and mid length’s of my hair. This too has the same scent it is actually blue agava and cacao but my manly scent description may not have got that across. The fact that the whole range is £3.99 in John Lewis and currently the same on offer in Waitrose may make you think that you’re not getting a luxury product but that could not be more wrong. The texture is luxurious and the packaging quirky but sophisticated. But did this dup tame my hair and make it look younger?
It did make it more manageable I must say and shiny, which makes me fell all princess like as blonde ladies out there know, making their hair shiny can be hard. I think to seal the deal for my hair I would ned to give the hair mask a try and the elixir as I did still use my moroccan oil when my hair was damp
Richard Ward Anti-Ageing Argan Mousse* £3.99 – Now sadly this is probably the only product from the range that does not do it for me but it was nice to give it a try. Like i said when seeking out a range for my hair volumising isn’t something I would go for but this mousse for someone who needs volume will give you a huge WOW effect. This is a heat protection mouse that has honey extract that derivates to moisturise and thicken. It has something called style memory technology so helps your style stand the test of time. Its perfect to pair with that Chelsea blow dry especially if your hair is thin. My mum however can’t wait to try this so looks like she will get good use of it.
I know what you’re thinking though who is Richard Ward? Well he is an award winning royal and celebrity hairdresser, so he knows what works and with a team of over 90 at his award-winning Sloane Square salon that sees over 1000 clients for all their hair and beauty needs every week, I know my hair is in safe hands.
Have you tried anything from this or another Richard Ward Range? Or been to his salon?
