A little while back you may or may not have known or you could have been involved too, with The Bloggers Hub #BHTWITTERPARTY where you could tweet and if you were lucky enough get some amazing products sent to you and I was lucky and got to try out the rather snazzy Magnitone Lucid* Now you may have seen a few weeks back I reviewed the Clinique Sonic System Cleansing Brush which I really liked and found a better and cheaper alternative to the Clarisonic.
Now comes this… and its official i’m sorry Clinique but you’re off my top spot for cleansing brushes because well theres and new girl in town and she’s a little more upmarket for the same price range. WINNER!!!
I don’t normally opt for pink but I broke that barrier though the green is rather beautiful too but they are just 2 of the 4 colours to choose from. This brush is a little wonder and it comes with an adaptor plug another brownie point just from looking at it! Designed for deep-pore purification & gentle exfoliation, it makes your skin feel alive and promises softer, clearer and brighter skin in just 7 days. A big feat you may think but at just two days my skin was feeling a lot better.
Magnitone Lucid is powered by Active Electromagnetic Technology™. Enhanced electromagnetic pulsations that send rapid vibrations into skin. They naturally unclog pores, and sweep away dry and dead skin cells, leaving a clearer complexion. With over 10,000 movements per minute, your skin is better prepared to absorb all your skincare products. I use this with the same cleanser I tried my Clinique one with and found this just worked better all round.
You dampen your face first then the brush and apply a pump or 2 of your chosen cleanser directly to the head, either choosing the normal setting or the one for more sensitive skin and in circular motions move the brush around your face. The bristles are really soft and my foaming cleanser really foams on the skin building a great lather. It has a built in timer so no clock watching as it works in 20 second zones, so you can focus on each area accordingly and if your skin is a little more sensitive one day to the other you can change the setting by double clicking the button, or they do special heads for different skin types or needs/wants.
This is 100% waterproof and travel friendly and has a great wireless travel charger that lasts approximately 2 weeks so you know your pretty much covered for clear skin home and away which is nice to know and its a little magnetic charger that just pops onto the front of the handle and away you go … rather jazzy!
The design is a lot better too, it is very similar in style to the Clarisionic and the handle gives an easy grip, i do think the Clinique’s angled head has great benefits but the fact this head rotates fully and not just pulsates means it still gets into the nooks like the corners of your nose easily.. Also you can buy a head that you can use that is suitable for your body too so you can easily exfoliate your whole body hassle free as the heads are super easy to change even for a technophobe like me!
So the verdict … I’m now of day 11 of use and my skin looks great, I suffer from dry skin and clogged pores and this is just helping keep it looking fresh and clean. It feels a lot deeper and more effective that my Clinique one does but only something you could tell if you’ve used both. So it most certainly can live up to its bold claims, it not going to stop you ever getting a spot but it will sure help them become a less regular occurrence.
Will you be getting yourself a Magnitone Lucid? What do you think of brush cleansers?
