Dark circles, red patches, lack a glow? Well as always it seems Makeup Revolution has you covered with the new Ultra Base Corrector Palette* £6. I wanted to get this post up ASAP as this only just landed this week in my pile of bits to test and try but as soon as I saw it, I was far to excited and pushed this baby to the front of my testing line. I will post some pictures of a motd on my Instagram @lemonaidlies in the next week or so as I just didn’t have the light to get swatches that would do it justice.
This palette contains 8 super creamy velvety textured correcting shades that you apply prior to applying your foundation. These are highly pigmented and really blend-able and they don’t shine through and make you look clown like which may worry some people seeing a green and purple cream thinking that’s not going on my face. they help to hind and conceal problems that most of us face on a daily basis and that after a while our foundations and concealers melt off a little and the little annoyances we hate, start showing through again.
Pink – Brightens
Lavender – Neutralises yellow tones
Green – Neutralises redness
Orange – Neutralises blue tones
Peach – Helps to balance out slight discolouration
White – Adds natural highlight and brightens
Cream – Neutralises purple and covers dark areas
Brown – Balances ashiness in medium to dark tones.
The main ones that will be of use to me are the green, peach, white, cream and brown. The green for around my nose as I suffer from red patches each side and struggle to hide them. The peach and brown to even out my tone and just to emphasise the base for my daily contour where I do minimal contour. The cream to banish the eye bags I know will be a constant as soon as I start my new job tomorrow as my body adjusts my eyes will take a hit and I do not want to look like a zombie and of course the white to add a natural brightness and glow that wont dull when I apply my foundation as I like to have a dewy fresh look all the time.
I do need a whole drawer dedicated to the amazing Makeup Revolution collection I have amounting, the continue to be ahead of the game creating innovative and super super affordable products that rival the big expensive brands but the quality never falters. Well done guys once again and thanks for sending me just what I need to keep me looking fresh faced ready for my new job.
What do you think of this palette? Is it something you would get a lot of use from.
