My 2nd week at work is drawing to an end today which means Friday night relaxation will be happing this evening. If you read last Fridays post on the Mandara Spa Island Paradise Pampering Bath Soak you will of read about the oil that Monty PR had added to my box of goodies and was laving me feeling fantastic and like a million bucks well this is it the Green & Spring – Repair & Restore – Bath & Body Oil*.
Green & Spring are British inspired by the countryside and using natural and ethical British ingredients they are a brand we should be proud of. I mean every one is handmade still and this ensures the freshest batch quality and allows for considerable attention to detail (for example, avoiding the overheating of key ingredients which would make them ‘pasteurised’ and thereby destroying any natural benefits).
The design of the whole brand is beautiful its quaint with the different colourful birds but luxurious and timeless. The background text is a repetition of all the benefits and goodness that the products hold the only thing I find a little meh is the constant use of & its used in the first 3 lines that you see but don’t get me wrong I love an ampersand and may even be getting one tattooed I just think its a bit heavy on that front.
They have 5 key sections all with different scents but effects and ingredients too; Relaxing, Indulging, Revitalising, Skincare and Repair & Restore.
Repair & Restore is inspired by Victorian English gardens, blending the reviving scent of bergamot, lemon myrtle and orange with the restorative properties of lavender and chamomile. Our most active bath and body range to date, designed to enrich and deeply moisturise, with added benefits that aid skin structure and elasticity.
After all that let me tell you about the product I am using … If you know me you know I love bath oils and have done quite a few on Aromatherapy Associates before but when it comes to others I had never found any that had quite the umph they gave me, until now. This is a bath & body oil but right now I am using this more on the body as I wanted to give the Mandara bath soak a good few turns first. Odd because I would normally us this just in the bath but it gave me the chance to see how I liked it applied directly to the skin and I am so glad I did. Its lemon, bergamot and orange giving it a zesty scent but deep and soothing undertones. It leaves the skin silky and hydrated and absorbs really well I apply it while my skin is still damp and much like baby oil works on a baby it has the same effect by really soaking into you warmed skin.
That scent lingers on the skin but is fine to layer with your perfume, its pure luxury inside and out really and while £30 for a 100ml bottle is pretty steep if you were using this for baths it would last a long old while as a body oil not quite as long as while you don’t need amples to cover your body its more that the 2/3 cap fulls i’d use in a bath. As a brand that I had only every briefly seen but not heard much about I am really impressed I saw it on a trip to Liberty a while back and the packaging had my eyes wandering to the all their ranges so I would love to try out some of their other bits particulary the candles.
Have you tried Green & Spring? What do you think of the brand and their range?
