I was recently introduced to Freedom Makeup London as a brand when I received some of their skincare range (post will be up soon) a few weeks back . I had heard of them of course being the offspring of the much loved Makeup Revolution, so when this palette landed on my doorstep I was eager to see how it differs and what this new brand can offer. The are totally separate to Makeup Revolution and they started a revolution but now want to inspire you to be bold and create this brand has a more professional look and feel and more individuality than the fantastic dupes we have known and love.
House of Glamdolls even has a makeup course for pro makeup artist to attend which will be running from next year. It’s really intriguing and I like the concept of it all so I can’t wait to see how this brand grows and evolves. I was kindly sent this House of Glamdolls – Spirited Doll Look Palette* to try out. Being a bit poorly I haven’t been able to swatch as I haven’t given this a full test run but I can give my first impressions.House of Glam Dolls has 4 pallets the concept is that this handy palette can give you a full look and they range from muted which is what this on is to more dramatic. This is the exact pallet I would go for it is earthy and natural and very me it can be slightly more dramatic ad be built up but doesn’t overpower me. The palette includes 4 brow powders, 3 powder highlighters, 2 powder blushes, 4 lipsticks and 10 powder eyeshadows both matte and shimmer.
I love that this comes with a chart and gives you a step by step way to re create the look before trying it out on yourself, it is a really nice touch and give you some handy pointers on how best to create the look. I mean of course you can just go for it and not use this but for £8 for a beginner it is such a fab starting point.
The blushes and shadows are nicely pigmented, and the brow colours are great for a touch up though I am loyal to my DipBrow. The only thing I don’t like are the lip shades I have never been a fan of panned lipsticks and they just don’t do much for me they are really sheer and just not for me but again its a great on the go pallet and if you need a quick touch up they could still come in handy for a little sheer shimmer.
Be sure to check out Freedom makeup they have a lot to offer from beginner to pro!
