With Christmas now well and truly over and everyone back at work and day to day life all I can think about is relaxing with Netflix on or having a bath or a long lie in on a Sunday. Over the years though what I have found that really keeps me relaxed is a good old candle and while I love a good old sweet and sickly scent sometime I just want something a little different which Is this candle all over.
A few months ago while looking for a gift for a few of my lovely friends who had moved house I decided to wander into tkmaxx and their home section. A place that gives me all the good feelings and one where i could spend hours browsing the randomness each stor holds. Lone behold I find this beautiful looking box in the candle section. The box had me with the antlers and oddly as it sounds since I heard Estee Lalonde a good year or so ago mention a tobacco scented candle I have always been intrigued to try one.
Not only is the box amazing with a gorgeous quote and a thick heavy black glass jar incased it is really well made all round its heavy with a beautiful wick that actually crackles when you burn it. it made me feel like I was sat by a fire and truthfully I wonder why I had never heard of this brand before Makers of Wax Good or M. of W.G
All of their candles are packaged beautifully and remind me of a vintage bar or gentleman’s club its so simple but stunning and draws me in. Although this scent is Tobacco it has lovely warm undertones of Patchouli and a lovely musky amber smell. It is certainly not one for everyone and I think it is a masculine smell in some sense but I just love it and the way it fills the room. I don’t know where else sells these bar tkmaxx but at £7.99 for this amazing hand poured candle I can’t complain. The also have a few different scents online on the tkmaxx website which will be nice to try out to see if the brand offers great products across board. They also make great presents and unlike Yankee Candles don’t break the bank. It has a long lasting burn time of around 48hrs and considering these are selling on eBay for upwards of $38 dollars I think you can nab yourself a great deal by hunting these down online or in your local store.
Ever heard of this brand? Have you had any great tkmaxx finds recently?
