You would think after almost three years of blogging, at some point a current favourites post would of been something I had done. This is not the case though and so I thought why not give one a try and see what you all think? I may change it up and move away from beauty products if thats something that people may also like. I have a few current favourites from the first part of 2016 so without further adieu here they are.
MILANI COLOR STATEMENT LIPSTICK – ROSE FEMME
I picked this up back in September when I was browsing Walgreens on holiday, I hadn’t tried anything from Milani before this. Looking back though I wish I had picked up loads more from his brand. The colour is just so prefect for me it is subtle yet noticeable, it is not at all drying on the lips and I think pairs great with Mac Soar lip liner. I got this for i think $5.99 though the lady gave me a $1 off coupon for lots of bits and this was one of them which is a mega bargain. I also love the gold packaging very high end looking for a drugstore brand.
NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION
A little surprised I have never featured this on my blog before. I have been using it for well over a year and its one of my all time favourite higher end foundations. I wear deauville but I only really wear this in the colder months as I find for me it is a fuller coverage foundation for me personally and in the summer I wear my trust No7 foundation. I love the look of this on my skin and how dewy it is and for someone with dry patches I find it doesn’t cling to these all the time which is a nightmare.
TARTE AMAZONIAN CLAY FULL COVERAGE AIRBRUSH FOUNDATION – FAIR/LIGHT
Another USA purchase I popped into Sephora on my travels also and got a selection amongst the NARS I wanted some stuff from Tarte. The girls kindly got me a lovely Tarte set for my 22nd birthday which I will post about actually at some point. I was going to get the foundation but this really called to me. Sometimes a powder foundation is a little lighter and more friendly to my skin and this is really that. It is full coverage but it means i can focus on my t-zone/ problem areas and it just blends right into my skin evenly. It lasts for up to 12 hours and you can get this in the uk for £25 now! I comes in so many shades too so a summer staple I think this may be too.
KIEHLS MIDNIGHT RECOVERY CONCENTRATE
I actually featured this in a post a few weeks back along with some of my other loved Kiehls products. A lover of face ild this one is my holy grail of oils at the moment. It’s not cheap but it is well worth it as a few drops go a long way. It sinks into the skin and leaves it feeling velvety soft. It is supposed to visibly restore skin by the morning which I am not 100% sure it does but it does leave it feeling a lot more even and brighter.
TESCO ROSE GOLD HAIR CLIPS
I am a self confessed rose gold obsessor! I am drawn to it like a magpie, I can’t resit it. When I was plodding down the isle my eyes caught the and I know this little duo were going into my basket. Part of a 2 for 1 deal I grabbed a pair of earnings too but these have become so handy and also stylish. They are no where near big enough to my hair but for a minimalist half up half down style its perfect and they are just too perfect not to include in my current favourites.
ABH DIPBROW POMADE – MEDIUM BROWN
Another one I have posted about before in my everyday brow routine it is a must for me. I could wear no make up no problem but this keeps my brows looking just how I like them defined but still natural and they just totally shape your face. I love that this is virtually waterproof and how long the stuff lasts! I have had the same pot for 6 months and with everyday use I have used under half a pot. I do question if i should maybe go for a lighter shade sometimes but still unsure on that.
GHD HAIR DRYER
I have been after a good quality hair dryer for ages and my Babyliss one was old and just not powerful enough or good enough to tame my rather out of control frizz. This is a full game changer for me, my drying time has gone from an hour to 20 odd minutes. The ionic technology helps battle frizz and while not it has not cured it it has really improved how my hair looks when just blow dried. A christmas gift from my parents I was overjoyed and mum was thrilled as I would now stop pinching hers.
Thats it for my favourites right now, though I would love to know what you think of this type of post and if you would want to see other… Beauty focused or a mix? Let me know 🙂
