I have the lurgy again, I know right the 3rd time this year already and well when I am a little poorly sick I often become lazy and just think oh well I shall leave my greasy mane and just wallow in self pity.. I am joking, ish but you know what I mean. When you’re ill you daily routine just goes out of the window so instead of wallowing in self pity I decided it was time to give this little bundle of goodies I was sent a little go. A brand I had never heard of even though it has been going since 1997 but one you will want to know about, Sachajuan. Create by two hairdressers, they have two salons in Sweden but their products only launched in the Swedish market in 2004 since then their sales have doubled or more every single year and it’s clear to me why.
I was kindly sent this lot to try and while it wasn’t a review type opportunity I was just to try the brand out I couldn’t not let you in on this brand because I am realising that my hair needs more TLC than I give it. This brand is on point its simple sleek design screams elegance, well it would it’s simplistic design and natural look and contents come from Sweden. They call it the Rumpelstiltskin brand turning straw into gold which is exactly what my dry, damaged and fizzy hair needs. I know when you look at my hair it it may look fine but I notice the effect my highlights and the heat I use effects my hair, and god forbid you ever see my fluffy mop on holiday! I was sent a range of Sachajuan goodies to try out:
Colour Save Shampoo [£18] & Colour Save Conditioner [£20]
Having highlighted hair most shampoos and conditioners end up stripping the pigment/ colour of the hair over time meaning the colour fades and dulls and I need to fork out more money to get them done sooner. These however cleanse without fading the colour or pigments. Its good as well as while as it’s for all coloured hair not just blonde or brunettes its versatile. The conditioner protects your hair colour with water resistant UV Filters. It also contains like the shampoo the famous Sachajuan Ocean Silk Technology – proteins & mineral extracts from sea algae – to fortify and moisturise each hair fibre.
Hair Repair [£23]
Probably my favourite of everything I have tried, they say you really see the effect when used regularly but two weeks in the results are amazing like really amazing! It helps restore shine to your mane especially if it is suffering like mine effects of too much styling and looking a bit frazzled. The unique combination of proteins and minerals penetrate the follicle, delivering intense hydration to heal split ends and banish them frazzled ends for shiny, healthy looking hair.
Spray Wax [£20]
Want to know something cool about this, well this is Matt Damon’s styler of choice, sadly this one isn’t for me as I am not a huge fan of heavy products like this on my hair. Though I am going to give this on to Jonny to try. He uses a clay/ wax on his hair so this may be something that would work better for him.I may give it a go to give a tussled look as it does claim to not have a sticky residue that is left behind but I am a little nervous when it comes to products like this.
Volume Cream [£20] & Finish Cream [£18]
Like the shampoo and conditioner the volume cream contains Sachajuan Ocean Silk Technology meaning that when you use this when blowdrying the hair the hair doesn’t dry out. I find it adds a nice barrier adding subtle volume for me as my hair is think but not making it frizzy. The finishing cream is something new for me, its great for when I don’t have time to straighten or curl my hair and can only blow dry, though my hair is a little less frizzy than it was my hair does have fly aways and this is really handy just to smooth and add shine to your hair again it doesn’t just sit on your hair and contains the same technology and the volume cream meaning it;s lightweight yet effective.
I am still a bit shocked that this brand has only just entered my routine, like really where has it been all my life. Not only is it good at making your hair beautiful it just looks beautiful in your bathroom and yes while it is not you’re averaged priced products from boots the quality really shows.
