It is #NationalLipstickDay so what better day to showcase some new additions to my ever growing lipstick collection and well they have been a pretty hyped, loved and lusted for range that don’t disappoint and really do have something for everyone. A few months back one of my favorite, bloggers YouTuber’s and just one all round of the loveliest people I have had the pleasure of meeting Lydia Millen snap-chatted about Urban Decay’s Vice collection 100 shades of lipstick to wow the world I knew I needed some.
When the day before jetting off to Lanzarote a surprise package from Urban Decay landed on my doorstep I did a little dance. I had to take photos pronto as I knew some of these had to be packed in my makeup bag to come on my travels with me.
There is no denying Urban Decay is know for being bold and brilliant all while keeping their brand luxurious and high quality. The always seem to have the balance between quirky off the wall and sophisticated charm to a tee they are not afraid to break boundaries with the makeup they bring out. If you saw my post on their Alice Through The Looking Glass Collection you will know from that, that I am trying to be more adventurous and break my own safe boundaries with makeup. This range has packaging just as impact-full as its shades each lipstick is encased in a heavy packaging that looks like a bulled its strong and just finishes the whole detailing of this range.
The new range contains 100 lipsticks including reformulated and repackaged golden oldies from the brand alongside new shades and some limited edition shades the have brought back. These lipstick have a really buttery texture that applies effortlessly to the lips, they are pigmented and really long lasting.
The Vice collection consists of 6 decadent finishes; Mega Matte, Comfort Matte, Metallized, Ceam, Sheer and Sheer Shimmer. On top of the 100 lipstick shades, Urban Decay have also launched 50 new lipliners to ensure that you always get the perfect match! I was lucky enough to be sent Backtalk (Comfort Matte), Pandemonium (Mega Matte), 714 (Mega Matte), Firebird (Cream) and Big Bang (Metallized)
The face of Vice is the very beautiful and androgynous Ruby Rose and 714 is her ‘signature’ shade. Dangerous and daring very fitting for the good girl with the bad girl attitude persona she has. For me though the shade I am most drawn to is Backtalk is a dusty pink, nude and it is just stunning.
I think that as a brand UD just keep pulling the punches collection after collection they are killing it and taking the beauty world by storm. You too can be part of the hype and find a shade for you each costing £15 so move over MAC you’ve got huge competition and new die hard fans of Urban Decay.
The shade’s launched range from everyday nudes, glorious pinks, reds and then some little more daring options as well. An array of purple a black which I could in no way pull off and a white with a shimmer which is a new one for me. I now have a stash of 14 lipsticks from Urban Decay so simplistic and some bold and very bright. No matter your style or preference UD really do have a shade for you.
What shade would you choose? Unsure, find your Vice here.
