When it comes to buying for the men in your life, it can sometimes be troublesome! For me it is, they either have everything they want and need or give no indication of what they would like so I have complied a little gift guide with lots of treats and stocking fillers also I have included a bigger gift that he will love if you’re looking to splash out a bit.
Jack Daniels Winter Jack (£17.95) – For the whiskey lover this is a little twist on the usual Jack Daniels, a special edition winter drink: originally made for the Jack-crazy German market. A punch with JD, apple, cinnamon and cloves, ideal for serving piping hot to keep the cold away.
Men’s Society Whiskey Stones* (£15.00) – Ironically Jonny was after some of these and I love this set from Men’s Society. The little drawstring bag contains 6 reusable whiskey stones. Again another gift for a whiskey lover and a great stocking filler alone with their favourite branded tipple. Great as they don’t water down the drink and they are just popped in the freezer inside the bag and ready to use when cold.
Dolce & Gabbana The One (£39.95) – I love this aftershave and I have found the 100ml for a really good price this is the smaller size so you can snap up a bargain with this. Aftershave is always a good idea for men I think, it is the perfect balance of personal but safe! This scent is really sophisticated and a statement, the perfect balance between classic and modern a lovely and warm winter scent.
Cross Rollerball Pen (£48.00) – A dad present or if you have a man in your life who is very business orientated. A nice pen gives off a good persona, especially in the work place. Cross is a renowned brand and while some may cost you a small fortune this is rather reasonable. I can no longer find the one I have here but have found similar which I have linked.
Ted Baker Shave Gel (£8.00) This is from the grooming room collection and there are a few other bits in the range. Great to bulk out the stocking but if you do really want to treat him, you can book an appointment or get gift vouchers for Ted’s Grooming Room to pamper him with a sharp cut, shave or treatment available at numerous locations across London.
Plantronics Back Beat Sense Wireless Headphones (£100) – So a little bias from me as my main client at work is the lovely Plantronics but I had to add them to this gift guide. I know the ins and out of these headsets and could tell you random facts most people would never know but I can hand on heart say these are such immense quality headphones. They are unisex of course but I think for him these are a real treat. They are wireless and very luxurious the white in contrast with the tan leather is beautiful but they also come in black just incase. Packaged beautifully (a lot of time goes into those designs so you will appreciate the detail) housed in a great carry pouch. With these you can control two Bluetooth devices up to 330 ft/100 m away without even touching them, they have 18 hour battery life and are noise cancelling which you won’t understand how much you need until you’ve tried them. Oh and they are really comfortable they have memory foam ear cushions so just allow you to drift away with the music.
Mr. Styling Wax * (£10.00) – I know Jonny prefers wax or clay when it comes to hair products and this one is really stylish. I hadn’t heard of this (bit out of the mens grooming loop) but Jonny has loved using it. The whole brand has this lovely sleek minimal packaging very nicely branded. MR. is the brain child of award winning hair stylist Jamie Stevens who with the help of Global experts in Research and Formulation Development Swallowfield PLC has created the innovative dual-action system. This product promotes fuller, thicker looking hair and gives a great hold. This is a great filler for the modern metrosexual man who is a little more selective on styling.
The Real Shaving Co. Sensative Shave Gel * (£3.99) – Another great stocking addition I think I prefer these rather that the gift sets that have one good thing and a few other naff bots this way you can select great bits from great brands. The Sensitive Shave Gel provides an invisible protective barrier for ultimate razor glide and precision shaving. It contains Aloe Vera to soothe and moisturise even the most sensitive of skin. This shave gel has been awarded the Bronze Award in the Best New Male Face Product at the Pure Beauty Awards 2015.
SockShop Colour Burst Socks, Tie & Pocket Square Set – (£12.99) I love this set it really is rather charming for the price. This set was just socks and tie so for the same price you now also get a pocket square which is great. The quality is also pretty darn good and its great that you have a full set that matches meaning it can really round off a well put together suit.
Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme (£40.80) – This scent is masqulinity in a bottel it littraly wraps you in the aquatic scent. It has real depth and lingers, inspired by the power and the beaty of the sea.
Clinique Great Skin for Him (£39.00) – These products are so so lovely I love Clinique and I know so many men who have the same love for the men’s range. These products are avaliable in a great set right now meaning they are great for the traveller, work or leisure they come in a handy wash bag. The set includes the two above – face scrub and aloe shave gel but you also get the SPF 21 moisturiser and face wash both of them in full size.
And now for the foodie heres a little selection of treats to sweeten their tooth or have as an after christmas dinner treat.
English Provender Caramelised Red Onion Chutney * and Moroccan Spiced Chutney * (£1.50 each) – A cheese lovers dream these chutneys are veggie and vegan friendly and are made right here in the UK. Their chutneys are award winning and I think they are a real little gem to add to the foodies stocking.
Nakd Christmas Pud Bar * (£1.00) – Watching their waistlines and don’t want to indulge, well they still can with these instead of adding a selection box or a bag of chocolate coins these are great alternatives and one of their 5 a day!
Percy’s Pick & Mix Sweet Hamper (£31.99) – I love these gifts for my granddad as they are really nostalgic for him. This on is really apt as he is called Percy, pretty fitting! Things like chocolate limes and sherbet lemons really make them feel like a kid at christmas again which I love.
So thats a round up of some of my favourite bits for him this christmas, do let me know if you’ve done any gift guides below or let me know what you may be getting him for christmas.
