I am not a hoarder but when it comes to candles I admit it, I have a problem. Before Jonny and I moved in I had 2 box fulls of candles and I don’t mean shoe boxes I mean moving big, brown boxes full. I had amassed a collection ready for our home amongnst them were and array of beloved Jo Malone candles. I adore them but they are an expensive love to have and to burn every day when their burning time is for the average size wich retails at £44 at 45 hour and for someone like myself who always has a candle buring somtimes I feel like I have just set my money alight. I will say though if you did want to get the Jo Malone luxury and have it last longer the reed difusers are incredible!
Though I found some that are fantastic dupes for the candles if you really don’t want to splurge. When one of the girls at work sent an email round about Aldi selling Jo Malone candle dupes I was straight on the webiste in seconds. It was a limit of one candle per sent per customer for each of the 3 scents offered and they retailed at a very reasonable £3.99 yep that’s right I paid £11.97 for 3 of these.
They are in 3 scents that are very familiar if you do shop at Jo Malone, them being: Pomegranate Noir, Lime Basil & Mandarin and Freeshia Pear. They are large too all double wick and more the size of the Deulux offered at Jo Malone which retail at £120. They smell very similar to the originals and the packaging is gorgous, not what I would expect from Aldi at all so I was very impressed. They by no means are exact dupes, the scents are the same but not as storng and don’t linger the same way but they are fantastic and look a lot more expensive that they are, they also have a 48 hour burn time!
Sadly though they sold out online the day they were release so I would say go into store to see if they do have them, I’m not sure though if they were an online exclusive. My mum got some but they all came samashed and they had sold out so could only refund her which was a shame. It may be the case that eBay or similar may be your best bet. This does mean though they may be a little more pricey than the £3.99 as we know people love to mark up on selling sites I have seen the set of 3 on there for £40 so just check in store first.
What do you think of these Jo Malone alternatives, are you heading to store to hunt some down?
I bought some of these just after Christmas & loved them! I’ve only owned one Jo Malone candle but didn’t find the strength of the scent to be amazing so was happy enough with the Aldi version! xx

These look amazing! I’m gutted they sold out because I could get my hands on them! xo
Great dupes! I’m also a candle person, but I find myself burning the less and less. I keep forgetting, so mine are more just for decoration, or if the power goes.
