I seem to either just be really late to the bandwagon on most things or just want to wait to see what he hype is about but sometimes darn I wish I had got something earlier and these Burt’s Bees lipsticks are just those somethings. I was sent 3 nude shades to try from the range because me being me, I don’t really wear other shades as I just can’t pull them off too well.
First up let’s chat packaging, it is made from 60% recycled material and is a lightweight plastic. No it is not your YSL luxe gold packaging but the design on this is really lovely and has the beehive style hexagon shapes which are set back to show the lipstick shade through. A really lovely touch, they are also easy to carry being so light I managed to fit all 3 in my bag so I didn’t have to settle for just one shade.
The 3 shades I have are 500 Nile Nude*, 501 Blush Basin* and 502 Suede Splash* all 3 different varying shades of nude. They are really creamy in texture and glide onto the lips. They come in a range of pinks, corals, nudes, mauves, berries and reds to suit all styles and tastes. Formulated with moringa and raspberry seed oils, the 100% natural ingredients work to keep your lips feeling hydrated through the day and at no point did I feel them drying on my lips at all. The shades are really rich and don’t need my re applying, just the occasional touch up here and there. Its lasting but doesn’t stain the lips so is easily removed at the end of the day too! All of the lipsticks retail at £9.99 all at Superdrug too, so I would class them as high street priced and affordable, I really want to try some more shades form the range out too. The next on my list are Doused Rose a darker pink nude and Lily Lake a deep blush pink.
Have you tried Burt’s Bees Lipsticks? What did you think?
