Oh Pixi, thank you for sending me another wonderful press sample package, you really do outdo yourselves time and time again! A few weeks back a beautiful boxed number arrived in the post for me containing two of the ‘Eye Reflections Shadow Palettes’ from Pixi plus a selection of their brushes in the cutest compact box. I am under no obligation to post about these products and all opinions are my own even though these are press samples.
Now sadly Mr Postman I think may have been a tad heavy handed as one of the palettes was smashed so 2 of the shades are sadly no longer usable but you know what there are so many to choose from. I want to give my first impression as I have never used Pixi makeup! I have used a ton of their skincare I even wrote a post last week on 9 steps to that rosy glow. I think however one of these palettes may be a game changer for me.
I received the and palettes both retail at £24 each. There is also a third in this collection called which has some more pinky variants. The one is the one that was smashed and while it is beautiful and has the most gorgeous natural tones that lighten and brighten the eye and have some of the best pigmentation I have ever seen in a palette the just floored me. Super pigmented and shimmery they just a incredible to apply, long wearing and the copper shades just have me stunned. For a brand I love but have never tried their makeup I am shocked as to why it has taken me so long to do, I should have known really right? I mean their skincare is some of my favorites that I use daily so why would their makeup be any different.
Another lovely touch was the beautiful brushes included now, one point here to make is I can’t find them stocked online so not sure if they are new and yet to be released. You can find a number of shadow brushes on their site though yet they are a little different but I can only assume just as soft and high in quality.
Such great first impressions and I really can’t wait to try other items from their makeup range soon. If you have any other recommendations let me know.
I absolutely love both of the palettes and have favourite shades on both too, the shadows are so pigmented and not what I was expecting x
