We only have a few months left of 2019, which for me and so many I know has been a turbulent and ever changing year. I could dwell on the bad, the uncertainty and change or I can try and embrace it by planning some things I am doing to get myself prepared for the end of the year and ready to then take on 2020 fresh. Autumn means there are longer nights at home that give plenty of time to reflect and tackle your to-do list! I realised that the year is quickly coming to an end and there are quite a few changes I want or tasks I want to tackle before the end of the year!
Travel
I have traveled a fair bit this year; The Philippines, Lanzarote, Portugal, Turkey, Ibiza, Morocco and Edinburgh soon plus I am planning a Christmas Market trip too. I know I want to keep travelling a lot next year, and already have a few trips in the pipeline so I am going to work out my finances, sort out the holiday I can take from work and plan out some trips. Maybe even solo ones now which is both exciting and nerve-wracking!
Beauty
I have been trying to keep to a stricter skin-care regime in the last few months and now it’s getting colder I have to make a pact with myself to ensure I keep that up but also to make sure I enjoy a Sunday evening pamper. I also want my hair to get longer and grow faster, so I have been getting my hair done regularly including highlights to keep it looking fresh and me feeling put together but also taking collagen and biotin to help it grow healthy and strong.
Food
This is my favorite season food wise, I love putting the slow-cooker on before I head out in the morning lot’s of stews coming my way plus I want to make slow-cooker mulled wine so that my house fills up with the perfect scents of autumn winter. I have a board on Pinterest with some of my favorite one pot meals you can make.
Minimising
Time to get rid of the old and I mean every old item of clothing, shoes you name it if I don’t use it anymore I want it gone. I want to get some extra cash to buy either a) new clothes or b) put towards travelling. Now i just need a whole weekend to get it all on eBay.
Socialising
I think this is the perfect time for fun friend things and spending time with family.Markets, takeaways, roasts on a Sunday. I want to make sure I get to catch up with as many people as possible and just re-connect to.
Health
Back to the gym for me I have joined David Lloyd, and it has a delightful spa in too so can do a bit of a workout followed by some TLC which is just what I need. They do reformer Pilates too which I plan to tackle up. I was doing CrossFit but i found it a little too clicky and intense in terms of trying to find time with work because of class times.
Self-care
I really want to try to carve out some time for myself and just mediate or go for walks again. I feel like the days can feel very long so the evenings are the time of day I can really unwind. I’m planning on reading more, getting more early nights and just taking time to reflect on what is going well and having good affirmations.
Do you have any end of the year plans? What will make you feel satisfied with your year when December 31st rolls around?

I have changed so much in my life this year – it has been a complete new me (I discovered selfcare podcasts, mindfulness talk and magical books). Next year I want to face all my fears (okay, some of them) XD
And definitely travel more!(:
