Would you trust you partner to buy your lingerie? Well I did, and lets be fair, when you see what he picked up I think you’ll agree he did a rather good job. Jonny was tasked by John Lewis to take on ‘Mission Possible‘ and shop for some lingerie for me, as a gift for Valentines. In terms of what he got, he mixed things up and went for a two sets and a bra, I think he couldn’t find the matching knickers for one of these but he styled it out well selling it in as a bralette (knows his fashion trends this one).
Starting with this casual but uber comfy and very me, matching Calvin Klein set. I had wanted one of these sets for ages, they look great on but I was cautious they wouldn’t flatter me. However it made me feel fantastic, it has a sporty edge which I think is a nice look and I love the elasticated band. Black is always a winner for me but this has just made me want every colour they have… cue me getting a little spendy.
If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen a little sneak peek of the ivory lace set from Heidi Klum Intimates. If you haven’t checked it out be sure to go and head to @LemonaidLies. It is really demure and elegant with a romantic touch in the scallop edging, the ivory lace is something I hadn’t really considered. I am more of a black, white and nude t-shirt bra kind of girl for ease, so this set made me feel like I had my s**t together it was soft yet the cut gave it a more sporty feel meaning it was really suitable for everyday wear. I mean a matching set means you can conquer the world right? I like that it is underwired, not too revealing yet the whole cup is lace and it sits well while giving the perfect amount of lift.
For me this Bleubella balcony bra, is my favourite! It has a real edge to it, with the most stunning eyelash lace. I think with a blazer over it, I may be able to rock it you know. More out my comfort zone than normal but it just gives me that sense of feeling OK in my own skin which is incredible. The statement straps just add to how killer the design of this bra is, swoon.
The whole sentiment behind this ‘Mission’ has really worked for me. Your partner loves you and loves the skin you’re in but it is often us who don’t show the love for ourselves that we deserve. For the first time in a long time and ever on my blog I am bearing more skin than I ever thought I would be comfortable with rather than a flat lay, and I am so OK with it. I though about airbrushing my scars on my stomach out at one point, just in case from afar you saw them and someone may feel the same disgust or shame that I once felt. I have started to feel the total opposite my scars are a sign of my strength, surgery gave me them so I shall wear them, because what else can I do but learn to love myself and the skin I’m in. I am working this year to love myself more, changing the bits I am not happy with by focusing on being healthy and working out and this has just boosted my confidence in that. Also huge kudos to Jonny for knowing me probably better than I do, bravo for taking notice even though I normally moan you don’t. So a happy Valentines day or Galentines day! However you celebrate, just remember to love yourself because you are 100% worth it.
P.S there is still time for him to grab you some bits or just to treat yourself, head to your local John Lewis and shop their lingerie collection.

Ah I love this idea and he did such a great job! Also, weirdly enough these are my two favourite underwear sets! I live for the calvin Klein set because it is SO comfy and I recently got my hands on the Bluebella set because it is just soooo pretty! xxx
