Wow when a product has a name that is even too long for the post title you would think of something big and mega but this little tube has a whopping name ‘ L’oreal Paris Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur’ maybe a little overboard on the naming there. This 15ml tube tends to range in price from £8.66 currently on offer in boots to £15 though my mum grabbed a few of these for £2 something and the last World Duty Free staff sale.
This is a little weapon fine line destruction all be it its small and slightly pricey for its size it for me is actually doing something and heres why; So i’ve only really just got into my twenties but that doesn’t mean my skin has no imperfections, I don’t have wrinkles and lines are not really visible on my face but saying that the odd break out and uneven skin tone is ever present and while I am not by any means seeing the effects of ageing just yet I will be soon. So I am trying to keep my skin looking its best where I can as well you don’t get more skin you only get one shot at looking after it FOREVER!
On the website it says “Stress, fatigue and an unbalanced lifestyle can affect skin quality causing irregularities to appear: imperfections, enlarged pores and an uneven skin texture. New Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur. Enriched with Optical Blur Polymers the formula optically blurs the appearance of shine, pores and irregularities for a soft-focus finish. The velvety, cream works with your complexion to enhance your natural skin tone. Excellent base for make-up”
A base for make up yes I use this on
top of my moisturiser and use it as a primer, it comes out a white/peachy flesh
colour but blends in effortlessly and creates a matte finish, unless
you apply when your moisturiser is still not fully sunk into the skin
(like I have before) and then it creates a nasty film over the skin and
you will have to start again. I use this on my forehead, nose and chin as
these are my more problematic areas and need a little more TLC.
You don’t
need a lot to cover the areas I focus on and use roughly a 5p
size but if you were to use this on your whole face I would
say to pick something else as 15ml is the only size they do of this and having
to cover a larger area daily will cause you to spend a lot on such a
small item and I don’t think it would be worth it.
An issue I
have found is that it claims to help oily skin and as someone
with combination skin thats is swaying more to the dry
side I don’t have overly oily skin and I did find this made my skin more prone
to oily areas when its hot. So it may not be a
great recommendation for anyone with an oily skin type.
This would
be great to use in conjunction with the rest of the L’oreal
Skin Perfection range so if you want to try something that
wont break the bank but helps your skin look fresher and more airbrushed this
could be the right thing for you!
Have you tried anything from the range? What wold you recommend to try?
