Want to know my weakness… well its Jo Malone I am a sucker for it ever since my sister gave a candle years back I have hauled everything I could from Jo Malone and then Jo Loves too. So you can understand my delight when I lasted got the chance to head to a World Duty Free staff sale (the perks of the family working at the airport) and this set with not the average 5 colognes were offered but 6 at less about £40 for them ALL! Needless to say I got one and mum did too because well be both can’t say no to a bargain Jo Malone offering.
This is a fragrance combining cologne collection that normally with the 5 perfumes retails for £70 so at almost half the price and an added one included my sale seeking instinctive eyes are filled with glee.
This set contains 6 x 9ml colognes:
Amber & Lavender
A slightly masculine scent thats deep amber undertones help lift the lavender, out of all of them this is probably my least favourite as it is very much a cologne and not as unisex as the others in my opinion but to scent linen etc I love it especially towels as when you come out of the shower its cocoons you.
Grapefruit
Its uplifting and refreshing the grapefruit scent reminds be of them baked on a weekend with sugar on top, the kick of peppermint it has gives it a real awakening and fresh clean scent.
Lime, Basil & Mandarin
This is Jo Malones signature fragrance and you can see why the mix and layers of this scent make it aromatic but light all combined.
Pomegranate Noir
A trusty old favourite of mine, its a heavier scent and I much prefer it in the winter instead to now. Its dark and spicy and makes me want to saunter as I walk while decked out in a little black dress with a killer red lip.
Orange Blossom
I love this scent its so simple and delicate and really awakens the senses I could easily imagine a drink on a beach with the same wonderful scent, it really can transport you.
Blue Guava & Cacau
The most unusual of them all for me is this one, its one you struggle to find if you like or not. Its edgy with its floral and citrus notes but the sea salt adds a whole new layer to it. Then you have the rawness of the cacao paired with cinnamon and musk. The combo is staggering but its so odd and unique it makes me want to wear it more.
All are citrus, fruity and perfect all year round but especially in summer they like all Jo Malone colognes linger and take a long time to fade so a little goes a long way. I also love that I get to try 5 out of the 6 for the first time without breaking the bank and finding another I love as I currently wear Peony & Blush suede a lot, perfect size as well for a holiday so I shall be taking my favourite on my holiday in a couple of weeks as I will buy a full size something at the airpot too.
What do you think of this set? What’s your favourite Jo Malone scent?
