There is nothing better than a walk in the sunshine with a winter chill though not much of the wintery-ness this year mind you! After stuffing my face over Christmas, Boxing Day called for a walk for me and Jonny around Virginia Water Lake, it is only 10 minutes away and we often plod around when the usual British weather doesn’t rain on our parade. I used to go there as a child and ride my bike so I always love going because it is just as beautiful as always it even more magical over the festive period when everyone is jolly and spending time with family it is always nice to reminisce.
I am all for slouchy and comfortable when taking to the woodland walks but why not do it in true British style with one of my favourite brands ever, Barbour. I was kindly sent these gorgeous Barbour International Gixer Boots* by Jones Bootmaker which I paired with my trusty Barbour International Jacket which is currently on offer for only £150 a steal I think! You can find that below, Zara super stretch jeans and a simple black roll neck.
Although these boots as part of the International range are more edgy and moto-inspired in comparison to the traditional country attire of Barbour they are the perfect pairing for me to go with my jacket. Brown quilted fabric and grain leather they are winter proof with the same check lining but with the added warmth of faux shearing lining they are warm, practical and quite frankly the added buckles makes the biker boots versatile and perfect for a festival too! They have a rubber commando sole meaning they have grip and are a must for me when I go on my trip to Budapest next year as they will fair well with the icy streets under feet. Jones Bootmaker had these on sale for just £69 which is a steal for such a robust and beautifully crafted pair of boots so be sure to keep checking their sale out as they have some great bargains to be had, stocking women’s, men’s and kids shoes they have something for everyone from own brand to known brands and great new discoveries to.
So get your boots on and go and explore 2016 is going to be the year I go and explore and these boots will be coming with me!
What do you do on Boxing Day? Stay in, head out or have any fun traditions?
